A Conversation

A white shirt turns a vivid blue in summer shade. For Jeff, that small transformation was the beginning of A Conversation, its cool color intensified by the light green grass around it. The painting grew from an observation of light into a portrait of two sisters and the ease they share.

Their poses belong to them, familiar gestures that emerge naturally as they talk, laugh, and trade secrets. Jeff wanted to hold that closeness without interrupting it. Color gives way to conversation, and the moment feels just a breath away from another joke.
