Blue Plums
Jeffrey T. LarsonPresented by Objet
The plums were meant for lunch. Picked from Heidi's parents' tree, they sat in a green colander, their dusky skins carrying a silvery bloom. Jeff noticed how the two colors strengthened one another and knew he wanted to paint them.
Blue Plums follows that direct response to something beautiful. The fruit remained close to its origin, cool from the branch and ready to burst. A simple arrangement became a painting because its colors already seemed to sing together.
