Pier A
Jeffrey T. LarsonPresented by Objet
The remains of industry can make a city's history visible. In Pier A, Jeff looks toward the iron and concrete left by Duluth's working waterfront. He is drawn to these structures as monuments to periods of ambition, prosperity, and change.
Timber and shipping helped shape the city's prosperity. Jeff sees their legacy in the structures that remain along the harbor. The painting returns that history to iron, concrete, and the wind off Lake Superior.
