Pitcher & Styrofoam

Glazed porcelain and lightweight Styrofoam meet in an arrangement Jeff describes through light and texture. One object is old, the other new, and both began with a practical purpose. Together, they offer a pairing few people would ordinarily think to make.

Pitcher & Styrofoam asks what happens when those familiar uses no longer determine how we look. Light draws the two materials into a shared visual world. For Jeff, stepping outside our habitual categories can be the beginning of an insight.
