Scooter

Jeff found the red scooter in an antique store while traveling, and it stayed in his mind long after he left. He distinguishes that lasting pull from the many things that merely catch his eye. This was a subject he could not forget and knew he needed to paint.

His research identified it as a 1964 Allstate, with cherry-red enamel and a cream seat worn and cracked by use. He wondered where it had traveled and who had owned it. In Scooter, those questions meet the work of finding how light moves across a highlight or settles into a dent.
