Snowy Cattails

Deep snow remained after a hard winter when a warm March spell brought Jeff and Brock outside to paint. In short sleeves, they spent a couple of days beside the creek. Bleached cattails rattled in the breeze as each looked for a moment to capture.

Snowy Cattails came from the same stretch of days and the same inspiration as Winter Cattails. The two paintings hold different encounters with that place. Here, Jeff preserves one of the moments when winter's landscape met the welcome warmth of early spring.
