Suspended Flight

Jeff found these wild turkey wings during a morning walk. The wings revealed a structure of remarkable delicacy, barred feathers, quills, and bone that had once lifted a bird into the air. Suspended Flight begins with his amazement at that meeting of fragility and function.

His interest reaches back to adolescence, when drawing animals and studying anatomy deepened his curiosity about how life works. Here, the hard reality of the bird's death and the beauty of its wings remain together. Jeff asks whether, when faced with something difficult, we can still look closely enough to find what deserves wonder.
