Trumpet

Polished brass gives Trumpet a visible form before a note is played. Jeff is fascinated by the beauty and proportions of instruments made to create music. Their appearance offers another expression of the art they serve.

He hears a shared language between music and painting, where a composition can be lyrical, balanced, or flowing. The trumpet brings that relationship into a single subject, its bell waiting for breath. For Jeff, the beauty of the instrument and the beauty it can produce belong to the same conversation.
