Waterfalls

Falling water passes over dark rock, carrying a gentle roar and hiss into the surrounding air. For Jeff, Waterfalls also carries the sensations of cold spray and the smell of pine. These sensations give the painting a presence he imagines enjoying at the end of a difficult day.

He pictures it in the middle of winter, with a drink in hand and a fire nearby. Jeff describes the pleasure of living with the painting as a kind of companionship. He invites the same unhurried attention one might give a fire as dusk settles on a cold evening.
